Skid Steer Tires

About our Skid Steer Tires

Need Tires for a skid steer? Here at Ontrac Parts, we offer many different skid steer tire sizes and types.

The most standard skid steer tire is Air Filled. These are mostly used for rough terrain or construction sites, to have a smoother ride than a stiff tire like solid tires. Air-filled tires have more tread options that can suit any job site from landscaping to demolition. Pneumatic skid steer tires generally come with options such as sidewall protection, deeper tread, rim guard, and stronger rubber compounds. These options can vary in price but can enhance the longevity of the tire to reduce costs and machine maintenance. Ply/Load Rating varies between sizes and the brand of tire, so if you need a higher

Solid Skid Tires are for your rough conditions. Great for land fields, construction sites (nails!), scrap yards, etc. Solid Tires are not limited to those situations but can improve any skid steer by having less downtime and less maintenance needed. Solid Tires do cost more than pneumatic tires but can also cost you less money in the future.

Tread Types:

EL76: A great option for hard surfaces such as pavement and concrete. Smooth handling with less vibration, while the deep tread is long-lasting for operating on hard surfaces.

EL78: Most common replacement on the market for skid steer tires. Includes rim guard and a lighter-duty rubber compared to the EL79. Still has the same load capacity and is a cheaper option for construction uses and is a great option for farms.

EL79: Great for all terrains including dirt, gravel, light mud, and turf. This stronger standard tire includes a heavy-duty sidewall and rim guard to protect your tire and rim in harsh conditions.

XL5 Steller: A premium tire that is the best option for rough conditions and hard surfaces. Has a strong and cut-resistant compound to stay durable and reliable in the toughest conditions. Deep and directional tread creates great traction to the ground and keeps the tire clean.
